Senior Science Class

Hey guys! I'm debating whether to take a science class in my senior year of high school. I've taken H Bio H Chem and AP environmental.... i was wondering if it would harm my chances at good schools if i decided to drop science in my senior year and focus on more business oriented classes. Also, i kind've want to take it easy my senior year and science is my least favorite/worst subject. Let me know what you guys think/ have experienced.....

BTW... My teacher wants me to take H Physics or AP Bio while if i had to take a science i would want to go easy with anatomy....

Let me know

I was in the exact same situation as you – I had taken AP Environmental, H Bio, and H Chem and I wanted a relatively chill senior year and I lack any sort of interest in science (I plan on majoring in Political Science and Philosophy) – I opted for Marine Biology, which is an absolute joke. I wouldn’t suggest dropping science altogether, I think its better to have 4 years of everything – but if science is your worst subject, I also wouldn’t suggest diving head first into something like AP Physics – Anatomy seems like a good choice. Its a respectable course that is pretty easy all in all.

I was thinking anatomy, also! Thank you very much

If you don’t love, or at least like, science, then don’t take AP Bio. It’s not hard if you enjoy the class- if you don’t then it’s MURDER (or so I’ve heard- it was my favorite class last year along with genetics  ). I’ve never taken physics (and I got into college anyway- SHOCKER!) but from what I’ve heard it’s much the same.
If you’re willing to take anatomy, I’d say that’s a good idea,. Personally I’m more chill about not having four years of each subject than a lot of other people here are, but if you think it’s important, then definitely take something that won’t spoil your year. Take something that will give you the time to work on the classes you WANT to work on.

@Hannahbanana69 - I agree completely. The whole four years of everything is something I advocate only because it is something that is being implemented by our state’s DOE as a widespread reform - 4 years of math, science, English, and history – so that’s why I recommend it – but it is by no means necessary like you said. Anyways, yeah, I agree!

thanks guys i think i am going to go with anatomy
