hey guys! okay so im really confused regarding my senior schedule.
I want to major in bio (pre-med track)
I took ap physics b in 10th and ap lang in 11th. In the beginning of junior year I was taking AP chem as well but I had to drop it bc of circumstances.
This is how my senior year looks like as of now
1)Mandatory history class: APUSH or his 2 honors (im gonna take his 2 honors)
2) mandatory english class: AP Lit or eng 12 honors (im thinking of AP Lit)
3) mandatory culinary essentials
4) mandatory microbiology
The other classes are electives
5) AP BIO (I want to take for sure)
6) AP CALC AB (for sure)
7) College level Anatomy or AP Chem or AP Physics C
I slept in AP Physics B and honors physics but im a good student. I was amazing at honors chem, I literally had A+'s across the board, but the time I was in AP Chem i was failing, I am scarred but I feel like this class would be appreciated by college admission officers. I have a strong interest in anatomy and i will get college credit for it. I want to take all three classes but I have to pick only 1 so please help in deciding. Thank You

I would take APUSH rather than AP Lit, unless you really like to read. If you love to read, then AP Lit a great class.
No foreign language? What level did you complete?
What universities are you aiming for? What’s in-state for you (some public universities select based on rank, other based on GPAXSAT, others on a variety of factors…)
Take Anatomy. You want to go premed, you said you’d love to take it and it’s rigorous. Is it going to be on a college campus or in your high school? Is it a teacher or a professor offering the course?

I agree, APUSH over AP Lit, also because it’s nice to have an AP social studies class on your transcript and you already have an AP English class.

I would seriously consider taking the AP Chem class again if you’re pre-med - chemistry is the great stumbling block of pre-med, with two years (four semesters) required. Either you learn to get a hold on chemistry, or you’re doomed. AP Chem will either help you get a head start or tell you you might need to look elsewhere for a career path.
