Senior year 1st semester grade fail

I messed up a lot during my freshman year and it took me a lot of effort to bring my cumulative UW GPA up to [3.8/4.0]. This year I slipped again a little and am expecting to get two A-s and two B+s... which would not only break my upward GPA trend, but also break my 3.8 line. I'm scared how this would look when they review my applications :<

is your 1st semester senior grade very important...?

Yes. But your grades are fine.

Aha i don’t think the colleges that i applied to would think it’s fine if the mid year report is indeed so important

What colleges have you applied to?

stanford, williams, UChicago, Cornell

i’m eff’d :D

You are not screwed.

i hope i’m not screwed

U not screwed man.

Your UW GPA is a 3.5, did you take challenging courses this year? A .3 drop for your colleges might indicate a downward trend but I doubt that it’s enough to discredit you from your colleges.

^How can you say that his UW GPA is 3.5? At my school, with 2 Bs, uw GPA would be 3.7. It differs from school to school.

^ How did you get 3.5? Two B+'s and two A-'s surely won’t drop a 3.8 to a 3.5. It should still be very close to 3.8

And trashman, don’t worry about it. Your grades are fine, and senior year is hard. If you got C’s or D’s then you might have reason to worry.

Trashman: OMG I suck I got two Bs no colleges will want me anymore NOOO I fail pulls out a gun Forgive me, father. I did my best but I failed. Pulls trigger

In hell

Satan: So, you were a big time slacker, eh? Well, how about we make a deal.

Trashman: Wh–
