Senior Year and Such.

Hey so I'm registering for classes next week and here what I have so far

Senior
AP Lit
AP US Gov
AP Macro/Mirco Econ
AP Physics C
AP Latin
AP Studio Art
AP Calc BC or AP Stats (I've taken AB but didn't so well on it)

Going to self study AP Music Theory (over two years with a teacher) and AP Comparative Gov.

Also I'm going to be co-caption of my school's speech team and science olympiad team, vice president of latin club, and do volleyball, have a job, all while trying to have a social life and a full head of hair.

Am I crazy?

Is this manageable? I didn't really want this schedule but it just ended up as the natural progression of all the classes I'm taking this year.

That’s a lot… 7 AP classes, plus 2 self study? cut the self study ones, and like 2 of the classes.

7 AP classes is up there but not impossible at all. I’m doing 6 atm and it’s more than manageable. Add 2 self-study APs and loads of ECs and you won’t make it through the year without pulling at least 76.3% of your hair out.

It is a tough schedule. i would drop AP studio art if i were you; i’ve heard it’s a lot of work. also maybe rethink Physics C if you didn’t do so well in calc AB?

drop your job
take away ap studio art
drop ap comp gov
your clubs are only as much time as you make them
you’ll be fine :)

I would drop Physics C… Good math/problem solving skills are a requisite, and if you didn’t do well in AB, who’s to say you will do any better in Physics C?
I’m in both classes at the moment, and I can tell you that Physics C is a hell of a lot harder than Calculus AB. They are no comparable in terms of difficulty.

I’m in Physics B right now and I’m doing pretty well. I know C is calc based but is it very calcy?

Once you get to E&M.

no point doing self studies as a senior

^ haha I’ve come close. very close.

If I drop comparative gov, but keep music theory (I’m already half way through it) and switch sciences would that be more manageable? My options are AP Chem, AP Bio, Honors Anatomy (Which I know at my school is more memorizing than AP Bio), or some throw away class like oceanology, or astronomy that seniors take just get the credit.
