Senior Year Bad English Mark?

Hi guys,

I'm currently in senior year and I messed up my english mark.
I'm looking at the Ivy league universities such as Upenn and Brown.
I did pretty well in junior year, 95% average and 2260 in SAT. I have good E.C, and a pretty good essay as well.
However, it turns out that I will not be getting an A in English.
Do you think this would break me?
Thanks.

How bad do you think your grade will be? If it turns out to be a C or lower, then it won’t look too good, especially when you’re applying to Ivy League schools. If it’s a B, however, I don’t think it should hurt you at all. Plenty of people get into the Ivies with sub-4.0 UW GPA’s. Just make sure you don’t have too many B’s overall.

I’m speculating it to be around 78-85 percent.

83-85’s a B. andddd ivies ask for mid-year grades, so if you pull off an A next term (after getting a B), that’ll be even more impressive.
