Hi everyone! I’m a junior in high school, about to be a senior, and I’m almost 100% positive that I’m going to apply early decision to Amherst this coming fall. We have to choose our senior year courses this week, and I want to make sure I have a course load that will impress Amherst.

So here’s my past statistics:
I’ve taken AP US History, AP World, I’m in Latin 4 Honors (we take the AP exam), I’ve also been in honors english for all of high school as well as honors latin. I have a 3.96 GPA cumulative (my last term gpa was a 4.04), and I’ll have a 33 ACT by the time I’m applying. I have tons of extra curriculars that I won’t get into at this point.

Next year this is what I have pretty set in stone to take:
AP English
AP Econ (Macro and Micro)
AP Calculus AB

However, I know three AP classes probably isn’t enough. I could take Latin again, and it would say Latin 5 Honors on my transcript, but I would basically be taking the same class that I’m taking this year. I’m also considering maybe taking another AP History Class (maybe Euro or Art History), or I might be able to take AP Earth Science.

Along with these I’ll be taking two electives of Newspaper and Radio 3: Management.
What do you guys think I should take that will be most impressive on my ED application?

Thank you guys for any help or advice that you have!
