What is your opinion on these classes? I am trying to get into fairly competitive
colleges, however i would like my senior year to be fun. The AP Gov teacher really has no idea what he is doing..., and I have heard AP Bio is a TON of work, but the 98% pass rate on the ap exam makes taking the class tempting. How important is it to take a bunch of AP's your senior year? Should i take AP Gov despite being completely uninterested? Does passing 5 aps (ap scholar) really affect your chances?

What area of study do you want to go into? I'd suggest picking up an AP there, because two APs senior year generally isn't seen as an especially rigorous courseload to competitive schools. Which colleges are you looking at? Knowing that might help people understand where you're coming from.

Don't take a class you have no interest in. Look for another AP class to fill that spot. If by competitive you mean Ivies,MIT,Stanford, etc., then your courseload should be stronger. And does your school day only consist of 6 periods + lunch, or are you taking early-out or something? If you are, I advise you to not do that.

It is generally accepted that AP test results don't have much influence on admissions. And the "AP Scholar" award, especially if you receive after your senior year, would do absolutely nothing to help your chances.

^^Haha, i totally forgot about the AP Scholar recognition coming after your senior year. By competitive schools, I mean UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UCLA (reach), UC San Diego (reach), UC Berkeley (Reach), possibly OSU or Northeastern.

It really depends on what type of grades you think you can achieve in those classes. Take as many as you think you can take while maintaining steady A's or B's in all of them.
