OK so we are starting to sign up for classes next year and i cant decide what to take. I know that i am taking AP Calc, AP Gov/ Hon. Econ., English IV. I cant decide on the science though. Its down to AP Bio., Bio. II, or AP Physics. Any suggestions on which to take?

since you asked my opinion, AP Physics FTMFW.

The other two choices are bio, man, come on! Bio is made of fail.

(well, if you certainly like bio, go ahead, but...)

honestly which do you like better, bio or physics. then pick your choice.

Commonly, students who take AP Calculus PRIOR to, rather than ALONG WITH, AP Physics have an easier time of it. I've heard AP Physics and AP Chemistry are more problme solving oriented classes, while for AP Bio there's a lot of memorization.

Don't forget what else you'll be doing senior year: applying to colleges! If you apply to several, that's a lot of essay writing you'll be doing in the fall.

FWIW I'm taking Calculus and Physics concurrently and am having no trouble. But they do share a lot of concepts.

I'm going to side with physics just because I like it a lot better; biology has too much memorization. Your situation and preference may be different though.

I agree with the above posters. Biology is much more memorization and Physics is largely made up of math. (To let you know where I am coming from I am taking AP bio now and AP Calc BC and AP Physics next year. I have already taken a year of Physics as well.)

So it is really up to you. If you are strong in math, then Physics might be better, but it you like bio or are going into a bio related career, I would recommend taking whatever bio class you think you will be able to handle with your senior year. Good Luck in making a decision and I hope that this helped!

I dont to be too weighed down with work though. I dont really care about boosting my transcript by taking a lot of AP classes since i can already get into the college that i want to go to. I just dont want to take physics and it be boring

Did you enjoy precalc, especially its applications? Then you'll probably enjoy physics.

Just out of curiosity, if APs don't matter why can't you take honors?

take physics...it won't weigh you down in as much work as bio will.

asain man: just to develop a good work habit
