I just wanted to get final opinions on my senior year schedule because we can change it until Sunday. Also I want to double major in international relations and romance languages.
Senior year
AP English Lit
AP Calc AB
Honors Physics
Environmental Science
AP Comparative Government
Sociology
AP Spanish
Latin 3
Junior year (for more background info)
AP English Lang (taking it right now, so far so interesting)
Honors Precalc/Trig (95, had to study a lot for this grade but I’m very happy with the result)
Honors Chemistry (taking it right now, going to be a long semester)
APUSH (96, one of my favorite classes in high school, so interesting recommend this course for anyone)
AP Macroeconomics (85 imo econ was really hard)
Honors Spanish 4 (96, also one of my favorite classes and loved the teacher, her and I were tight)
Latin 2 (taking it right now, love it)
I just feel uneasy about not having an AP science course because a lot of my friends are taking them and I’m worried that I won’t be competitive for some colleges. But then again I love languages so I do not want to drop Latin and I cannot drop Honors Physics because it’s my first physics course. Could anyone give me advice?
Since you plan on majoring in fields that wouldn’t really require extensive knowledge about science, I wouldn’t worry too much about not taking an AP science. Getting any level of physics always looks good (also a plus since you’re doubling up)! All in all your schedule looks pretty rigorous, but fun! Good luck!
Physics is more rigorous than APES for instance. That’s a good schedule for what you’re interested in. The only thing you could try to change, due to your purported field of interest, is Sociology - guessing AP Comp Gov is one semester, so you could take AP US Gov the other semester?
@MYOS1634 for some weird reason our school only has comp gov but thanks for the advice! could i possibly self study ap us gov because i’m doing apush right now
I think it looks great but you could drop AP ES …no need to take 2 sciences. Don’t self study AP US Gov…it won’t help for admissions and why not take it in college?
Don’t worry, if your school doesn’t offer it, then don’t worry about it, and don’t self study. Just make sure Comp Gov counts as a full unit, not a semester unit.
@bopper oh I didn’t sign up for APES instead our school has a 9 week enviro elective course and I’m doing that bc 1. i’m interested in enviro and 2. i couldn’t fit APES in my schedule and 3. because there are no other electives i want to take
