For my senior year is hs I plan on taking the following courses…
1:AP Composition 2
2:AP Statistics
3:AP US Government
4:AP Chemistry
5:Wellness 4
6:AP French
7:
For my last course I am torn between AP Latin and Human Anatomy and Physiology. I am very strong in both fields, slightly more so in Latin, and I plan on going to school for nursing. Would taking anatomy be best for nursing or would another A in another AP course be better?
(gym is req’d for 4 yrs at my school unfortunately)
Thanks!
wow, that’s a ton of AP courses, looks super rigorous already. for senior year, the “AP” designation doesn’t matter quite as much. Take AP Latin if you like it, but you’re already taking AP French so you’ve got the language req down. Anatomy is cool and will help you decide more on your career path in my opinion and will look rigorous as it is a unique course.
I personally would recommend Anatomy just so you get a taste of what you’ll have to study for any medical profession. It’s a pretty unique course that most high school students don’t take or don’t have the opportunity to take!
I’d go with Anatomy because it relates to what you’ll be studying in college. Also, it may be less time-consuming than AP Latin. Exception: if you apply to UPenn’s nursing program.
