senior year course selection 6/7/05

I am going to be a senior in high school next year and i am trying to hammer out my course selection for next year. I am deciding upon on whether or not to drop one of the languages I take. Currently Ive taken spanish, all honors since freshman year, german, 2 yrs, and italian, for one year. I cannot decide whether I should drop my italian course, especially since I am studying arabic outside of school as well. Im thinking of dropping italian becuase my course load is way to heavy and stressful, as I discovered this year. Would it look bad to college admissions coucilors if I dropped this language my senior year. Is it worth taking this course. All around I have a 4.0 GPA and approx 1800 SAT scores. and Im looking to go the Fordham University, not any of the ivies. Should i drop my italian class? Thanks for reading this thread, hopefully some readers can respond!!

I think so. What does the rest of your schedule look like?

well im taking standard us history, AP calc AB, german II, lunch, spanish 5 AP, environmental science, italian II (?), AP Literature >> does tht seem fesible?

Yes, ditch Italian if that is your least favorite. If you need a rationalization to do so, remember that you will be doing applications next year - and that's like a class in itself for a couple of months. Get a jumpstart on the essays this summer if you can.

And - try to enjoy senior year :-)

i would ditch lunch its way too easy :) ( kidding! )

Colleges would hardly notice if you dropped one class, you are taking 6 classes thats more than enough to impress your adm officer

Don't worry about dropping the Italian. You have ample language credits and this shouldn't be an issue when they look at your transcript.

thank you all!
