I’m choosing courses for my senior year and I’m trying to see if I should take AP Physics C or AP Environmental Science. AP Physics C at my (highly competitive) school is supposed to be SUPER hard (e.g. even with 50%-70% curves, it still brings your GPA down a lot) while Enviro is of course supposed to be easier. The rest of my courseload will be AP Lit, AP Econ, AP Calc C, and an honors history course. Our school also structures the science program so that I’ve already taken Physics Honors as a freshman. I’m planning on aiming for some very highly competitive colleges (but as of now I’m not planning on going into a STEM field) - so my question is will taking one of the two courses affect me in terms of the college admissions process? Should I definitely take one over the other?
Are you good at math and enjoy physics?
If you enjoy it then take it but it’s not necessary since you aren’t going into a STEM field.
What is AP Calc C?
You’re taking a very rigorous schedule so you’d be fine with APES, especially since you aren’t going into STEM.
thanks for the advice everyone! @mohammadmohd18 our school has Calc AB as one class, and Calc C as the class you take a year after - it’s a bit different than how other schools do it.
