Senior Year Courseload

I am currently a junior aiming to get into Carnegie Mellon for ECE (CIT). I have only signed up for four classes for my senior year, because I am planning to take classes pertaining to my major at a local community college.
The classes I am taking at school are:
AP Physics C
AP Stats
US Gov/ AP Microecon
British Literature

Will taking only 4 classes hurt my chances for CMU, or will they take into consideration the fact that I'm taking classes at a community college?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, they will take into account that you are taking CC classes as you will list them on your application. You might also have your HS GC mention it when they fill out your SSR.

It would be best if you are taking some of those courses in the fall, not just in the spring, so that colleges can see your semester grades when you send your mid-term report.

Thanks, that’s good to know!
