Senior Year Courseload

So I’m having a dilemma. I am a junior right now, just started second semester. I am trying to figure out what classes I should sign up for senior year, considering I am looking into selective schools (Washington University in St. Louis, Tulane University, Georgetown University). Is it a bad idea to load up on AP classes senior year and risk getting senioritis and having my grades flounder? I need guidance for which AP classes I should take, if I can take AP classes outside of my school in order to get credit, which AP classes colleges prefer a student has taken, and/or if I should drop any I’m planning on.

Background on my student resume:
-my unweighted GPA as of 9th through first semester of 11th grade is 3.94, weighted is 4.17, I only know my class rank from 10th grade (unweighted GPA, 4.0 and weighted 4.07 at that time)- I was ranked 1st unweighted and 4th weighted.

-I have taken AP Euro (10th grade: A both semesters- scored 4 on Exam), APUSH (11th: A first semester), AP Lang (11th: A first semester), AP Spanish (11th: A first semester), and AP Psychology (11th: A first semester)) as well as Honors English 1 (9th: A) and 2 (10th: A); I am a year ahead in math and science so I have taken Geometry (9th: A), Algebra 2/Trig (10th: A), and half of PreCalc (11th: A first semester). For science I’ve taken Biology (9th: A), Chemistry (10th: A), and half of Physics (11th: C first semester), as well as a science elective Principles of Biomedical Science from Project Lead The Way (11th: A).

-My other classes (which I have gotten A’s in all of them) include: [9th grade] = Creative Writing, Spanish 2 (year ahead), PE & Health (required for graduation), and Civics; [10th grade] = Mind Works (gifted and talented course only, mini independent study), Marketing, Self-Defense, and Spanish 3.

-My plan for senior year is as follows (note: my school runs on a block schedule so I usually have 4 class one day, then the other 4 the next, and it switches off and on): AP Calculus (every day 1st semester, every other day 2nd semester), AP Chemistry (every day 1st semester, every other day 2nd semester), AP Literature, and AP Biology (every other day 1st semester, every day 2nd semester), Independent Study (gifted ed), Human Body Systems (next course in PLTW Biomed), and Business Law.

Should I stick to my plan of having another 4 AP’s next year (technically 6 because of the semester long, every day schedule for 3 of them)? Should I consider changing one of the AP Sciences from Bio or Chem to AP Environmental (every other day, whole year). Do colleges prefer to see a student who has taken AP Chem vs. AP Bio? Is there a way to take some AP classes online so maybe I can get some of them done that way?

I would appreciate any suggestions, insight, etc.! Feel free to ask me any questions to clarify anything I left out about me as a student or what I’ve said above Thank you so much (:

I think the schedule that you have listed is fine. Personally, I’d leave it.

IMO for college admissions the law of diminishing returns kicks in once you’re taken 6-8 AP courses in your HS career. After that, more is not necessarily better, so I would avoid looking at online options. You’d be better served strengthening your essays, polishing your EC’s, etc.

Many top colleges do not give credit for AP Environmental Science, so I would not swap Bio or Chem for that.

The C in physics does you no favors, but I’m sure you know that. Work on getting that up 2nd semester. Good luck.
