senior year courses for engineering

Okay, so my senior year schedule so far is:
AP Microeconomics
AP English Literature
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics B
Robotics
Computer Programming H
Participation in Government H (half year; required)
College Spanish
Nature of Language (half year)

However, I really like environmental science, and recently, I'm leaning more and more towards applying as an environmental engineering major in engineering schools including Columbia. This, and the fact that the teacher has a great reputation of leading lively and interesting class dicussions, is the reason I want to take AP Environmental. However, that would mean dropping AP Microeconomics (every other day and highest grade is like a 90), and Computer Programming (which I would probably take on a pass/fail basis anyway as I have no computer science experience). Yet, I have heard from many people, including students from my own high school, who regard this AP as the conventional "easy" AP class. So keeping this all in mind, would it make sense to drop these classes in favor of AP Environmental? I would greatly appreciate any input!

Take what you’re interested in…ie AP enviro.

Micro you might find useful, a large portion of columbia engineers study economics (acquire econ minors). Computer programming is useful to learn, whereas, I question how useful AP environmental will be. Remember you are admitted not on a major but for overall well roundedness. At columbia engineering you have to take a semester of economics and a semester of computer science. I know that AP environmental is one of the “easier” less well respected APs. I think its one of the APs where you can pick it up later and it will not be an issue. I think you would benefit academically in the long run if you challenge yourself, but I can understand if you want a light load senior year.

throw in ap psych for a little diversity
psych is very interesting

Hmmmm…I’ll think I’ll leave my course selection the way it is then. Thanks for the help guys!
