I’m currently a high school senior and am wondering which of the following would be more competitive in terms of college admissions. I know these are considered “easy” AP courses, but I have already taken the more rigorous ones, including Calc BC, Physics, US History, and Chemistry, among others.
Three classes I will definitely be taking:
AP Micro
AP Psych
AP English Lit
For this semester, I have the options of the following classes:
Dual Enrollment sociology, DE microbiology, DE Spanish, DE environmental science, DE anthropology, intro to healthcare science, another AP class online, or various arts/electives.
For next semester, I am trying to choose between AP Stat or AP Euro and whether or not I should keep AP Environmental.
If anyone could help me decide what classes seem the most rigorous, that would be a great help!
Hello, fellow senior here.
AP Euro is an extremely challenging course imo, but i suppose if you’re more interested in history and excel at it, then you may do very well. It’s much more difficult than APUSH (my hs has the same teacher teaching both and even he admits that AP Euro is very hard).
Honestly if you have all these dual enrollment courses you can take and also have APs your schedule will seem rigorous anyways. I did take AP stats sophmore year tho, and it wasn’t too difficult but some parts were a little tedious. I also hear APES is one of the easiest science APs to take, so keeping it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
I really enjoyed AP Micro and Macro tho and they were some of the easiest APs I’ve taken (5 on both). It’s pretty simple reasoning and if you have a good teacher it should be no problem.
