For senior year I am thinking of selecting the following courses:
AP Calc AB
AP English Literature and Composition
AP Economics
Honors Theology
2 electives in Law and Government
Since I go to a catholic high school, theology is counted as a required core class. However im worried colleges won’t count it as a core class, and will be turned off by me only having 3 other core classes. There are additional courses in language and science at my school, but there are only AP classes in those subjects available, and I don’t know if I can handle 4 AP’s. Since I intend to major in political science and/or economics, I’m also thinking that science/language courses are not as beneficial as the other core classes. Is this courseload fine, or would I need another language/science course to be competitive in college apps?
