Senior Year ECs on app?

What is the protocol on this? Do I put activities that I plan to do? Specifically, there’s a drama show that I do every spring. I’d like to know if i should or shouldn’t check “12th grade” on my college app when they ask the grades you do that specific activity.

I'd put it on if you plan to do it and it's a continuation of what you have done before.

Don't put it on unless you are actually doing it. If you put in your fall application a spring 2006 show, the adcoms will just doubt the veracity of your whole application.

If drama includes a club of some sort, you could put that down if are participating in the fall.

If you send an update letter to colleges in the spring, you could include a note that you were working on the show.

you should check it, just make sure whoever's in charge of drama knows of your intention to participate.

i know people on the boys tennis team, whose season is in spring, check off that they'll be in tennis in 12th grade even though tryouts are in the winter after apps are due. they tell the coach in advance.
