<p>My average GPA is 3.88, freshmen year was 3.68 and sophomore and junior year was 3.98. This semester (senior year 1st semester), it looks like I will be getting 3.90 and possibly a 3.85 (absolutely no lower than 3.80 ever but 3.80 is a slight possibility). My dad is grilling me about it like crazy, and I wonder if my lowered grade in this semester (compared to my previous 2 years) will have a significant affect on me. My has been hard for all for years, this year the hardest. Additionally, my high school is a lot harder (to get a good grade) than most others (harder to get an A). I know this from talking to many transfer students and our ACT average is about 30% above state average. If you could please tell me if there is a big difference between 3.80 and 3.90. </p>
<p>If this information helps you tell, I am applying to (pretty much) all ivies (with backup), 33 ACT, 770 sat 2 chem 800 sat 2 math level 2, and decent amount of leadership and extracurricular even compared with some crazy extracurricular-activity-people out there.</p>
<p>To the threadroamers who tend to be really, really vague (for example: "listen to your heart" =.= seriously?), please at least answer using the following levels:</p>

2: you now have 0% chance of going to ivies no matter what, have fun in ur backupschool
3: you can hope that college admission in the iveis will be drunk while he checks ur application
4: it will very highly negatively impact your chances
5: it will highly negatively impact your chances
6: it will averagely negatively impact your chances
7: it will slightly negatively impact your chances
8: it will probably very, very slightly impact ur chances
9: ehh, it may impact ur chances but prob not
10: it might subcontiously be in the admission dudes mind O.o
11: wait, do they even look at those? O.o
12: it will positively affect your admission! :-D (possible since my average GPA is 3.88 and 3.90 is higher)
13: you will get automatically accepted into every school you apply to :-DDD
14: you will end world hunger, find cure for cancer, and get accepted to every college ever. EVEN IF YOU DIDNT APPLY (with full scholarships)!! :-DDD
