I have a 3.3 right now and am hoping to raise it to about a 3.45. If I'm applying early action, how does senior GPA work? Do they just average it in? Is it looked at separately?
If I've had a 3.3 up until now but had a noticeable increase in GPA recently, will colleges take that into consideration?
I'm hoping to have a 4.0 first semester, which I can do if I work really hard. Will the 4.0 make a huge difference?

If you apply EA, then the school can only use your first three years’ grades. Your hoped-for stellar Senior first semester grades won’t be of any help to you. This is a reason to wait to apply RD – to get the extra boost from that seventh semester. I’d advise this in your case.

If you get a 4.0, your culm GPA will go up from 3.3 to 3.4. This might be very important.
