Senior Year Grades and overall GPA question.

Hey for my 9th and 10th grades I had a 3.83 GPA.
For 11th grade I had a 3.5 GPA.
And for the first 2 years 12th grade I will have a 3.91 with 5 APs.
If I got a 35 on my ACT and three 800's on SAT 2's (Math 2, US, Bio E/M), do you think I stand any chance to get into princeton, or duke? Do you think they could look past my horrible atrocious junior year? (Btw, I'm a URM)

What’s your class rank/size? If your school grades harshly (which seems possible given your outstanding standardized test scores), then maintaining a high class rank would minimize the damage of an “atrocious” GPA.

Sadly, my school is known for being notoriously hard and they do not class rank. What’s your opinion on my situation?

@needadvise123 each school has a profile which colleges can see which shows them how difficult the school is. Even though they won’t know your exact class rank, they’ll know that 3.5 GPA you had junior year isn’t as bad as a 3.5 from a less rigorous school.

As for chances, it’s so hard to tell from the bunch of numbers and words people post here. I think your much better finding out who from your high school got into Duke or Princeton in the last few years and then comparing yourself to them.
