Hi, will these grades hurt my chances for schools like Yale, Harvard, Stanford etc?

Dual enrollment courses
General Chem I A
Calculus II A
Physics I: Mechanics B+
Differential Equations and Linear Algebra B+ ( I self studied Calc II to get into this class bc calc II is a prereq)

High School courses:
English 12 A
Drafting I A

Note: Home life has been stressful. I have a compelling personal story from moving 20+ times, heroin addicted parents, etc, but now my mother is ill, we're poor (I'm questbridge), my little brother has autism, my alcoholic stepfathercauses problems.... I work just to afford these classes etc..

Will this hurt?

I've had only one A- before at most... the rest were As

What are your test scores?

@glasssculpture on the ACT

One B+ shouldn’t hurt you. Considering your family situation your current grade-which is totally fine-shouldn’t and won’t count against you. Are you a QB finalist?

You’re taking a similar load as I am, except for DifEq. I think you should be fine, use your struggles in your essays, but don’t make it sound like a sob story. Explain how your struggles have made you who you are, for instance my father is a 100% disabled veteran, we don’t have alot of money and my father frequently has to travel to distant Hospitals for his cancer treatment. I would tag along with my father for his appointments and talk with the staff at the hospital, I met with the nursing manager and made important contacts for jobs when I get out of school.

As for your grades, what university are you duel enrolled in? My High School actually pays for my duel enrollment courses, I would think that yours would as well.

@paul2752 yes, im a finalist!

Congratulation! dont worry. Keep up with your grade and you will be fine.
Admissioj officers arent curel enough reject you for one b plus
