Senior Year Grades

Though this may have been answered before, I am not sure if it applies to my specific case.
If my GPA has been trending up (3.6 3.6 3.8 3.8 4.0 4.0) all the way until the end of junior year and I get a 3.8 (one B) first semester of senior year, how will that affect me in the college admissions process?

Ummmm… it won’t be as favorable to you as if you had gotten a 4.0. What else can be said?

It’s not as if your transcript suddenly gets a big X marked over it. Your GPA/transcript is a continuum and will be viewed in its entirety
