Okay, so I have visited the Michigan website and it says that it is possible that they can revoke admission if there is a significant drop in senior year grades or a drastic change in the curriculum. I've been working almost EVERY single day since the second semester started, and my grades are not so hot anymore. I think I might get like 3 or 4 B's in all my core AP classes for semester but definitely no Cs. Is that too many Bs for Michigan? Are they going to revoke my admission then? Or is it okay as long as I have no Cs or lower? I'm kinda worried...

I don't think that's a problem...

i actually don't know about that... in fact, for some odd reason, my 2nd semester grade is much higher..

but that shouldn't be a problem.

thank you polydentate and blissful...
if anyone else see this post and know the answer or might think they know it,
please reply! i need all the advice i can get..

I've said this before.. 3.0 + no F's or D's = no worries

Is that for semester grades or end of year overall grades? And how would having a D for a quarter affect anything, especially Ross preferred admits? I have a medical problem so I have a reason but I'm still kinda anxious about it.

is it same for wait-listed and THEN admitted students? my friend asks...

and 4 Bs are okay for sure...? I'm asking again..
i just think 4 Bs are just too many... you all know how Michigan is...

It doesn't matter if you were waitlisted (for obvious reasons) or are a preferred admit(Ross lets LSA admissions deal with it). The GPA doesn't matter. They send you a letter asking for an explanation if you get 3+ C's, a D, or an F after they accepted you. There have been a lot of threads on this, you can find them with the search button.

i honestly don't think 4 Bs in AP courses would make umich deny you. at long as you get the AP course certs and don't get TOO bad in your GPA (like no 0.5 drop), then all should be fine. my friends are going to berkely duke n (maybe stanford.. don't remember) say you need to get at least a 3.0, get your certs or ib diploma. so i do'nt think michigan is THAT demanding considering other vigorous schools don't even have such high standards. if you're REALLY REALYL that worried, talk to your teachers, do some extra work n tests (if possible). if you're on the borderline, then doing some extra stuff and work would probably help you.

AND oh yes, i'm in the ib diploma. umich asked me to send over the ib diploma results. what is the minimum i can get? my friends say that as long as you get your diploma its all fine. **is that true? **some ppl say that US schools don't even care about the ib scores... again, is it valid..?

thanks alot.
