Senior Year Grades

How important are second semester senior year grades (from high school) for transfer? In relation to overall GPA and other semesters?

Are they sympathetic to seniors slacking off last semester of high school?

And how important are high school grades compared to frosh grades (in college)?

The year closest to when you applied is always the most important. But think of it this way - there are two applicants, both with 4.0's in college. Person A got a 2.7 in senior year, Person B got a 3.7. Who's gonna get accepted.

Frosh year grades are always the most important though. Everything takes a backseat compared to those.

What about SAT/ACT/SATIIs? Would retaking them be beneficial?

How do I present a "good" transfer app? EC in college? Research? Involvement in current college?

bump, I want to know about those testings too.

If you're applying to transfer as a sop, then test scores and HS grades and classes are very important. Since you apply for transfers in the early spring, schools really only have only one semester/qt at college to judge you on, thus they will also take into consideration your HS record. If you transfer as a jr, what you do in college will have more weight as they will have a year and a half to look at.
