<p>My first semester average was a 94.8 and my second semester will hopefully be the same.</p>
<p>unfortunately for freshman, sophomore, and junior year my average was a 87.</p>
<p>Should I include this somehow that I had a change of heart and applied myself my senior year? </p>
<p>I'm trying to get into UMiami and USan Diego.</p>
<p>I know there is a section on the common app for additional info....would this help?</p>
<p>I’m in the same situation as you, except I only did badly sophomore year. My cumulative GPA is like a 4.15 but for junior and senior year it’s like 4.5. I think that if you have a valid reason for the low grades then explain it, but colleges don’t want to hear that you don’t always care about doing well. I know exactly how you feel; I decided to really give my all junior year. But colleges would be comparing you to people who have given their all for all four years.</p>
