Im in the process of inputing my grades onto the online application
but i have a problem. i dont have my senior year grades yet. ... what should i put ? NA on the spot to put my grades?

i think they tell you to put “IP” for in progress? but that just may be me getting confused with the UC app…n/a should be fine…

Yeah, you just put " IP " for the grade of all the courses you are currently taking

Oh, so that’s what that IP was for? I mistook it for “IB” and just didn’t write anything for my Senior Year grades (left them blank) and already submitted my USC app.

I won’t get penalized for that, will I?

provecho - i don’t think you’ll be penalized but i think it was written on “instructions” so it may look to them like you dont really read the instructions properly

Shoot. I didn’t do that. Nor did I put the “CR”, instead I put “S” for Satisfactory (which is what my school uses).

Also, I did not do this:
"Fill in a least one course for each category. If you did not take a class in one of the categories, list “None” as the course and “N/A” for the grade. "
^^^^^ Actually, maybe I did. What do they mean by category? Subject area or year?

Will any of this be penalized?!

Should I call them?

I really don’t think any of this will be “penalized.” Remember, USC will receive over 35,000 applications, and they are very used to the many ways the application might be filled out. USC admissions really are very flexible - if you are a qualified candidate, I feel certain they won’t set you application aside for nitpicky little things like these.

I am sure it is fine.

Should I call and clarify what the S means?

Or will that draw attention to it?

Can someone confirm if I should call?
