senior year grades

Assuming I am accepted, I am wondering how senior grades could hurt me after I send in first semester's transcript. The three problems are the three AP classes I am taking: calc, euro, and environmental science. Calc is well in the C range, but APES and AP euro are a 79 and a 78. Would this lead them to repeal acceptance? Even though they are all ap classes? Note: All other classes are high B's and some high A's in honors classes. I am in two math classes including Calc, the other one being advanced math college prep which I received a high B+ in. My only elective this year is college business principles honors. A really difficult is what I'm trying to say, and would they take this into consideration as well?

You shouldn’t have to worry about getting your acceptance revoked. As long as you have some grades in the B range, the C grades will be fine. And also make sure you don’t get any D’s in any classes.

But don’t let this be an excuse to slack off second semester senior year :)

Pierre0913,
What is the lowest GPA and SAT’s that you’ve heard of for getting into Clemson?

I probably have one of the lowest GPA’s. I got a 3.06 GPA and was ranked 140th in my class of 275. However, I took all honors/AP classes, had an ACT score of 34 and my high school is among the top high schools in the country so I think I had stats to make up for my GPA. I know my roommate had a 3.5 GPA yet was initially wait listed. Not sure about SAT scores since I haven’t asked anybody (nobody cares anymore anyways) but I know that it’d be hard to get in if your SAT score is below 1150 (combined math+critical reading only).

Thanks for the info. My son has a 3.2 (because his freshman year was not great) but Junior and senior years he has 90 average with 1250 SAT’s. We were just wondering. It hard to figure hype from reality.

when you say D…i have a 71 in AP Calc currently but thts only because I did horribly on the midterm, but regardless it is a 71. Would the fact that I’m taking two math classes make that less of a big deal, and the fact that its the first time I’ve taken a math class other than a college prep math class and they would just see it as a poor choice of class more than anything else?

if it’s a D just in one class (especially in an AP class), I’m pretty sure they would be ok with that. However, if your grades are C’s and D’s then I would be pretty concerned about getting an acceptance revoked.

In this article about the University of Washington ([Local News | UW revokes admission offers in severe cases of “senioritis” | Seattle Times Newspaper](http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2003286270_uwadmissions03m.html))
it says that there are 3 categories of students who’s acceptances got revoked:

1) A and B grades dropped to C’s, D’s and F’s
2) Failed a required class (such as math, say if Clemson requires 4 years of math which it does)
3) Students listed that they were taking challenging courses senior year on the application but then later dropped the classes.
