Senior Year Grades

I was admitted to UCLA and am considering going...but here are my grades this year:

Last semester: 2 As, 2 Bs, and 1 C (3.2 unweighted)

I know for sure that I will be getting 1 C this semester; I might even be getting 1 more.

Does your senior year TOTAL GPA have to come to a 3.0 unweighted? or is it EACH SEMESTER?

I might end up with 2 Cs this year...how does UCLA treat Cs? (theyre in AP classes, btw)

thanks!

I meant 2 SECOND SEMESTER, so 3 total.

bump 10char

Do a forum/google search.

And really? A bump in 3 hours?

i believe each semester should be above a 3.0 UW, get those grades up!

I am trying, I am trying!

I also hear that you get 3 or more Cs in your senior year courses, theyll probably rescind you. Is that true?

Okay this is from what I heard so don’t take my word for it… But I heard that they take the average of both 1st and 2nd semesters of your senior year to calculate their whole 3.0 unweighted GPA thing. I also heard that you cannot get more than 3 C’s.

If it’s more than 3 Cs, Im dodging a bullet. If it’s 3 or more Cs, Im kinda dead.

Is high school really that hard?

not hard; i made it hard on myself

well from what I heard it was more than 3 C’s … but then again it says nothing about that on the provisional contract.

It doesnt say anything like that on the provisional contract, but when you go to the page where you report changes and poor grades, it said “3 or more Cs”…***?!

Oh. I’d call them and ask. Well best of luck to you man. Maybe you should start saving up money to “persuade” your teacher not to give you a C? Hahaha

lol if only they bought into that it wouldnt be worrying

here is what the ucla website states:

kinda weirdly worded but does that mean each SEMESTER or OVERALL?

i think it’s 3 C’s overall
cuz you can’t get D’s period, so i’m assuming the 3 C’s refers to overall
also, it’s 3.0 each semester (with leniency)
i called in and apparently one C is no problem as long as your other grades are B or higher
2 C’s and it’ll depend on your coursework
just try to get rid of one of those C’s w/o dropping the class

thank you!
gotta work my butt off now

WTH, i got two Cs last semester(in AP), this semester I probably got another two…Am I in danger? Help!!!

Yes, you are in danger. I’d call UCLA right away and ask if it’s okay or not to make sure though.

Well, shall I call them or report my grades? Cuz I still have time to boost my grades tho…
