Senior Year Mid Year Report?

I know that Ohio State does not require it, but would it hurt if I did not send it? My grades first semester aren’t too great compared to junior year, but they’re not terrible. I really want to get into OSU and I don’t want to jeopardize my chances (I applied reg decision). Also, I applied for the computer science major, will it be harder for me to get in the engineering school? If so, is there a way that I can change my major to undecided to increase my chances? Thanks.

Why would you send your first semester grades if they are not as good as your junior year grades? I don’t see how doing that would help.

And, you want to change to a major that is harder to get in to?

Are you sure you want to get into OSU??

I’m sorry for the confusion. I was wondering if applying undecided would increase my chances instead of applying to the school of engineering. As far as my mid-year report goes, I wasn’t sure if not sending them would seem suspicious.

I sent in my mid year report mainly because my senior year I’m taking 5 AP’s and two other academic classes, my grades were straight A’s but generally good (A’s and B’s) and they were definitely better than my first semester junior year grades where I got 2 C’s in the semester. Plus I got deferred so I wanted to send something new in to show I want to get in.

Does anyone know anything about switching majors after applying?

@C55K22‌ I believe it is possible to change majors, you will need to call the admission office to get it sorted out though.

@redjericho I was recently accepted so I don’t have the need to switch majors at this point.
