Senior Year: Mid-Year Reports

Hello everyone I have a question about my senior year first semester grades. I would be really thankful if you guys could provide me with your opinions.

So last year (Junior year) I took Calculus AB, but since my mom was my math teacher, she decided that I should take the BC exams instead of AB. I did end up with an A+ and 5 on my exams, but our school does not have any math classes to offer after we’re done with BC, so for almost the first quarter of senior year I didn’t do any math.

However, soon they found an online AP Stats class for students who were done with BC. It was my first time taking an online class, and I made my fair share of mistakes. For example, I didn’t pace myself so well, and kind of procrastinated -_-
I got a B (86%) on the class.

It wouldn’t have been a big problem, but my whole transcript until the first sem of senior year was all As or A+s, but now I have a B, and the schools that I applied to want to see my Mid Year Report. I am freaking out because of the following reasons:

  1. Is a SINGLE B on my transcript going to affect my chances of getting into that college?
  2. Would they think that I am not working as hard as I was in Junior year, and cancel my application?
  3. I am working super hard this semester to not get a single B, but does it even matter? I mean this is the second semester, and there’s no way colleges could know about my grades this year.

Please let me know, and thank you so much.

calm down bro

I can’t I am so worried, because I’ve read all these websites saying that people got rejected because their grades went down from As to Bs T_T

1 - No
2 - No
3 - Not much. Admissions are based on the data the schools have now.

Chill

Thank you so much.

This issue has already been resolved, but I’ll just add that you shouldn’t assume that CC is representative of the general population of students applying to college; it just isn’t. Most people don’t post here, nor have accounts. This site is a wonderful source of knowledge sometimes, but a false microcosm of the world other times. Don’t take things here at face value.

A little sodium is a good addition to any dish.

Yes I completely understand that, and I am pretty sure that my B would have an impact on my chances of getting into college, but I was looking forward to other people’s opinions as well.
