<p>I'm wondering if I should force myself to suffer through the senior year at my annoying high school next year or just skip it altogether and go to community college and do full time dual enrollment. I really hate my high school and I've wanted out of there since my freshman year, but I'm not sure if I can really stand another year stuck there feeling trapped. It recently came to my attention that for my senior year I had a new option: Go to community college as a full-time student and take the classes that would earn me both high school and college credit. As opposed to taking 5 APs next year, four of which it would nearly be guarenteed that I wouldn't learn anything in.</p>
<p>Does anyone have any recommendations on which I should choose?</p>

<p>It depends on where you want to go to school and what you want to do. Going to the community college should be fine if you plan on staying in state and go to a local private college or state university but if you want top 100 schools, then you should stick the AP route. I read somewhere on some college site that schools know that most AP classes are harder than the community college classes high school kids take and also it looks like you're not abandoning your school. Weird, I know. Also, those competitive schools often times do not accept the community college credits so you just wasted your time and money on books whilst all colleges accept AP credits. And you also save money on gas!</p>
<p>@ honorstudent- Yes, but at my school I'd be getting A's in the APs for doing nothing and the AP classes are definitely not rigorous at my school. My AP Bio and AP Stats teachers give A's out to even those who sleep through class and do homework in there every day. I know that most colleges won't accept the credit but at least I'd be learning something and I wouldn't be wasting my money on books because my county pays for all costs (tuition, books, lab fees, etc).</p>

<p>Oh ok, well in that case you should probably go to the community college as you'll be much happier. And wow! I want to go to your school, lol. Good luck in whatever you choose! Although it seems like you've already pretty much decided and you're looking for reassurance! ;)</p>
<p>Yea, I guess you guys are right that I have already decided. I just want to make sure I'm not making some stupid mistake by deciding to miss my senior year at high school.</p>
<p>Oh yeah, another plus side of doing community college: I'd get to take about four-five sciences instead of the two left at my school. :D</p>
<p>And honorstudent, feel free to switch to my school. I'm sure you'd love them taking half an hour out of class each day to teach us things like the difference between cause and effect and what acute and obtuse angles are. =)</p>
