My child is a junior in Texas and received a score of 230 on the PSAT. What happens if I am transferred out state -- or better yet out of country -- for his senior year? If he goes to a boarding school his senior year, would the international cut-off be used or would the Texas cut-off be used? I appreciate any comments with insight on this.

The school/state where he took the PSAT is the one that counts. So, Texas it is.

That said, if you do move, you need to contact NMCorp to let them know where he’ll be.

(BTW…your son has exceeded the int’l boarding school cutoff as well…he’d make NMSF no matter where he’s at.)

Thank you.
