Senior Year Schedule Decisions?

I have to make my class selections for senior year next month, and I'm not sure what to take. These are my options (I can pick 7)- a * means it is a definite.
1. AP Literature and Composition* (I'm taking AP Lang and Comp now)
2. AP World History (I don't need to take a history, but I didn't take APUSH so this might be good)
3. Biology 2 Honors (I'm not great at science, but I want a science course)
4. College Pre-calculus (I have an A+ in college algebra 2 right now, but I hate math)
5. Yearbook*
6. Community service
7. Foods 1
8. Anatomy and Forensics (half year of each)
9. Humanities Honors
10. Statistics (instead of Precalc)

Which would you pick and what have you heard about homework, tests, etc. for any of the classes listed? Thanks in advance for any input!

(I also have a 4.1 weighted GPA and am interested in Boston College as my number one choice so far)

Foods 1? Humanities? Anatomy and Forensics?

What do you want to major in?

@Kawaiiii‌ That’s the thing, I don’t know what I want to major in yet. I thought Humanities would be interesting because I love that type of stuff, and foods 1 was just an easy elective. I wanted to take anatomy/forensics to see if I would enjoy a career involving either of those. Almost none of them are certain, they’re just ideas. I have a decently rigorous course load this year, so I wanted a few electives next year that aren’t a ton of work to make time for college apps.

I can understand making time for college apps, but 5/10 (depends if Stats is tough or not) of your classes are an actual class.

Don’t most Seniors decide what they want to major in in like Junior Year? Or at least a general area of what they want to do?

What do you enjoy to do?

@Kawaiiii‌ yeah that makes sense. I’m pretty much dead set on the first four, which are all actual classes, then take another actual class which I haven’t decided on (stats or H humanities) and two electives (community service, yearbook, foods 1). And yes I believe so. I’ve thought a lot about a career working with children such as a teacher, pediatric/neonatal nurse, child psychologist, or a child defense attorney. I love kids so I know I want something along those lines but I haven’t decided yet.

Do you have any electives available at school where you can work specifically with children?

You should probably ask your GC too, since getting random advice from people on the internet is usually not the #1 choice.

Definitely take precalc! You get a good foundation of upper level math.

I am in AP Lit and personally hate it. You have to write a ton of essays as well as in class ones. You might like it though if you have interest in classic novels and shakespeare…we’ve discussed poetry, frankenstein, hamlet, and twlefth night so far.

AP World History was pretty fun and interesting. It’s a relatively straightforward class. Go for it.

@Kawaiiii‌ unfortunately no, but I wish they did. My school is definitely limited on the electives you can take compared to the ones I’ve seen/heard of on here. And yes of course I’m planning on talking with my GC, although she is bran new this year and hasn’t met with me once so far so she doesn’t know me at all really.
@bluecatch‌ thank you! I’m definitely going to take AP world. It sounds fun and I love history.

APWH is one of the hardest APs at my school homework-wise—lot’s of notes. But if you haven’t taken APUSH it might be good to take it. If you’ve taken College Algebra, Precalc shouldn’t be too hard. Non-AP Stats sounds like a fluff class since AP Stats already is. Not sure about your elective classes; take what you think sounds the most fun for those!
