Senior year schedule help (+online classes??)

Hi! I lurk on here a lot but never really post, so here goes. I’m a junior attending a small, private all-girls school and I seriously need help deciding my senior year schedule. Up until now, I’ve taken the most rigorous/advanced classes offered. Here’s my schedule for the past 3 years:
Freshman year:
Honors physics
Honors Spanish 2
English 9
History 9
Algebra 2 + geometry
Intro to theater
Phys Ed

Sophomore year:
Honors chemistry
Honors pre-calc
Honors English 10
Honors Spanish 3
World history (only history class offered)
Advanced theater
Phys Ed

Junior year:
APUSH
AP calc AB
AP English language
Honors biology
Honors Spanish 4
Journalism

Any non honors or ap class I took was because there was no advanced version offered. My school is notoriously challenging and our honors courses are sometimes considered equal to other schools’ APs.

Here’s what I’m thinking for senior year:
AP calc BC
Honors English seminar (intense research class)
Honors history seminars (intense research class)
Advanced journalism
AP government and comp. politics (ONLINE)
forensic science (ONLINE)

Here’s my problem(s): I’m dropping Spanish (not taking AP) because i honestly hate it so much. It’s dragging down my GPA and I despise the subject. I’ve heard it’s a really bad idea to drop language, but I’d be replacing it with AP gov, which is way more important and relevant to my interests, so is that ok? Also, it’s frowned upon at my school to take more than one class online. My guidance councilor is only letting me drop Spanish if I replace it with gov, and I also really want to take it, so I’m pretty much definitely taking that online (it’s not offered at my school). My councilor is urging me to take environmental science (non AP) because it’s offered in a classroom. The thing is, it’s supposedly to super easy and I don’t really want to take an obvious blow off class, especially since I have basically no interest in the subject. I’m much more interested in forensic science, but it’s online which might not look great and it’s not boosting my GPA or anything.

My current GPA is ~3.9 unweighted and ~4.5 weighted. My ACT score is 32, but I’ll probably take it one more time (got that same score twice). I’m heavily involved in extracurriculars. I’m not exactly sure where I want to go yet, but my dream school is probably Brown and I’m mostly looking at highly selective schools. Can y’all give me any advice/help?? I’m really conflicted.

Oh, also I forgot to add that I’m interested in studying media studies and/or poli-sci in college (or maybe something like American culture studies).

Just wondering, why are you going to take AB and then BC. Unless you’re school is different, BC covers Calc I and II while AB just covers Calc I

I’m not really sure, that’s just what my school does. Everyone on an advanced math track takes AB junior year and BC senior year, unless there’s a problem. @tigerman333

I think that you should take forensic science since it better suits your interests. That will probably also look better on college applications. Online classes can also give you the opportunity to get ahead (depending on the program that your school uses), so you might be able to finish early and have extra study time for your other classes.
