Senior Year Schedule is Weak

<p>Due to scheduling conflicts I was only able to take 3 APs senior year. MY junior year schedule was as hard as intense as it gets in my school. To get the APs that I wanted to get, I had to sacrifice taking potentially more, but useless APs.</p>

<p>I can explain the scheduling conflicts on the additional info section of the common app and my counselor will mention it in her letter of rec, but I am afraid it will still hurt me.</p>

<p>On a side note, any recommendations on how I can increase course rigor? Classes at my local CC probably won't be available to me as they have already started before my scheduling conflicts came into play.</p>

<p>3 AP’s seem plenty to me. You didn’t post your schedule so no one can comment on it. It sounds like you made the right call for Jr year. I think it is more important what you take than how many AP’s.</p>

<p>Don’t worry. Having 2 AP is still good. My D originally registered for 4 AP classes, but was only given 2 due to limited availability (reduced school district budget). It took some work to finally got back another AP.</p>

<p>My fault for not clarify. My schedule is:
Ap calc ab
Ap econ (micro and macro)
Ap computer science
English 12
Physics
Oral interpretation - required
Government 1 semester</p>

<p>I have taken:
Ap bio
Ap lit
Ap euro
Ap ush
Ap stats</p>

<p>The problem is that most of my main competition is taking 4-5 Aps. Its just my specific course set up that doesn’t allow me to take that many so i don’t know if even my counselor writing it in her letter of rec would help. I took the maximum number of Aps for my circumstance. Would taking online courses help? I did take a korean class through Stanford SPICE if that helps (it was free and had an application process).</p>

<p>dude. youre screwed. no chance of getting into any colleges anymore. dang dude, i’d consider getting a job at mcdonalds right now. like seriously, only 8 ap classes in high school? and only a semi-challenging senior year? dude, you have no chance to any college at all. just give up.
