I just submitted my senior year schedule and it has me thinking if its too much. I have:

AP Economic
AP Chemistry
AP English Lit
AP US Hist
AP CALC BC
Also will be taking IB Bio

Will I die with said schedule? Any advice welcome

thanks.

US History is a lot of reading, and if you have a good teacher for Calc BC it’s not that bad. If IB Bio is anything like AP Bio, its also a lot of reading/memorization… I can’t say anything for Econ, Chem, and Lit, but I’m taking those next year as well, as well as Calc III (I already did BC) through a college course.

If you have a good chemistry background, Chem AP shouldn’t be too hard.

It’s just a bunch of math/concepts, not really any memorization.

The only way you will survive is if you supplement your learning with review books, which I think you already do. Remember to get review books that help you and don’t just list nonsense, useless facts (like CliffsAP US History, that book is the worst ever!).

You should be reading your review books like there is an AP exam EVERYDAY.

US History, English Literature, and Biology are reading-intensive classes. Economics, Calculus, and Chemistry will be okay if you are good at math. Otherwise, you’ll spend countless amounts of time on “that one problem.”

You better have a study if your school has seven blocks…unless you’re going to fill that with an elective.

What schedule did you have last(this) year? Was it hard/easy? Use that to judge how you will with a schedule filled with APs. Remember, everyone is different; math/science subjects are easy for some people, while for others it could be hell. Do not try to overkill, it kills you in the end.
If you’re good at math and science, keep the math/science APs. English is important so keep that. The other APs are tentative.
(I’ve repeated this like a thousand times): What’s your major? Take APs that correspond to your major. The others will be tentative.
