A few days ago, I signed-up for senior classes, and I was only able to register for three AP classes. I was wondering if collges will think that I took senior year off considering my junior schedule. My senior year schedule will be:
1. AP Chemistry
2. AP English Literature and Composition
3. AP Environmental Science (fall semester)/ AP Human Geography (spring semester)
4. Calculus 2/Calculus 3
5. TA

Junior
1. AP Physics B
2. AP Calculus AB
3. AP United States History
4. AP English Language and Composition
5. AP Statistics
6. AP Spanish Literature

If it matters, I am planning to apply to the following colleges. Thanks.
1.UC Berkeley
2. UCLA
3. UC San Diego
4. UC Davis
5. CSU Fresno
6. CSU Chico
7. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
8. CSU Long Beach
9. Rice University
10. Emory University
11. Darthmouth College
12. Le Tourneau University

Hey,
a couple questions:
what is TA?
what is Calculus 2/3 and how is it different from AP? is it as highly regarded as an AP?
why couldn’t you sign up for more? how many AP’s does your school offer?
sorry for all the questions just need more info!

Yeah a TA is a teacher assistant. Calculus 2 is like AP Calculus BC, but my school does not offer it because we have a bad math program. Calculus 2 is the second semester of the calculus sequence while Calculus 3 is the third. Our school offers 10 semester AP classes and 3 semester. I can not take AP Biology because the class is the same time as Calculus. Thanks for your response.

Anythings better than TA…take that period off and take a class at the local CC. Why are you applying to 4 CSU’s. I’m pretty sure, you’ll get into all of them, so why not apply to only one as your safety. AP Enviro and AP Human Geo are regarded as electives so your taking 3 core classes your senior year. Not a good sign bro. Find a way to get a lab science or at least like a spanish II or something in there better. For UCLA and Berkeley, you should take a stronger senior schedule because it is expected from you. Also since your doing Calc 2 and 3, why not take the Calc BC test? you could self-study ap physics C mechanics and note that in your application because you weren’t able to fit a lab science into your schedule. Just some ideas here.
