So I'm currently a junior, and I was wondering which classes to take next year. We aren't registering till February, but I'm just REALLY unsure. Plus, my first quarter grades were terrible, mostly because of math.

Senior Year

AP Statistics (I REALLY don't want to take Multivariable Calculus/Linear Algebra after this first quarter of math...)
AP Biology or AP Physics B (I'm not sure if I'm going to get progressively worse in Honors Physics yet...)
AP English Literature and Composition
Chamber Strings
Accounting I (I'm thinking of majoring in Accounting. Would this class be a waste of my time?)
AP Psychology or AP French (I'm not sure. I know I'd do better in AP French, but I kinda want to take AP Psychology)

For me it would be making a junior schedule; which is so diffcult as I already thought bout it several times. There are so many classes I want to take and some I need to take but only limited spots.
I’m currently taking AP Psych and I have to say its actually an interesting course and involved a wide range of different aspects of life I really enjoy even though my teacher literally does nothing but shows up to gives us the exam…regardless its a course I would recommend to most!
Question though if your planning on majoring in accounting, why would accounting I be a waste to take?

I think you should stick with AP French over AP Psych. It’s really useful to continue learning a language even throughout college. If you’re interested in Psychology, you could read a Psych book on your own since that’s pretty much what the class is like.

Msdeterminded, I wasn’t sure what Accounting I even covers in high school…I’m going to have to ask my counselor, I suppose.

BigUncleP, that is a very good point. It’s just, my mom thinks taking more than 4 years of French is pointless. Guess I’ll have to convince her otherwise!

Don’t take physics B after Physics I. They’re pretty much the same thing and you won’t learn anything new. AP bio is more of a sophomore class so go with Physics C. Also, be better at calculus; it’s easy.

michael2, thanks for the advice.

Yeah, a bit of a rocky start for me and Calculus. I’m aiming for at least a B this quarter, though.
