Senior Year Schedule

To what extent does your senior year schedule factor into college admissions. I know for a fact that there will be a decline in my second term Junior Year grades. (I was just royally screwed over with the teachers I got this term.)

All the classes I take are honors, however, the entire school takes all honors classes so I have no clue if that even looks good.

You are gravely limited to the number of APs you can take at my school, they don't allow you to take more than two. (Disregarding AP Gov't.)

If scheduling works I will be taking 3 APs next year: Stat, Gov't, and Spanish. This is in addition to two college classes: Humanities Seminar (at a CUNY school my school is affiliated with) and most likely an theater/art related class.

Currently I am taking only one AP class, AP US History. Sophomore year I took AP Euro. Had I planned my elective choices more carefully I could have squeezed in another AP, like Enviromental Science or Psychology, although they are both science related and do not reflect my intended path in college.

My school only ranks the top 10% of their students. The mean GPA for 2005 was 90.7. So I could be screwed if my 94.8 average drops...(as of now not sure if I am in the top 10% of my class.)

Senior year classes matter a lot...they don't want you slacking off. My senior year classes were actually harder than my junior year classes. They all stress the whole "no senioritis" thing.

My senior year was all AP classes starting out... Well, then I dropped one class to 5 AP class and replaced it with one other art instead. I believe it is quite important. YOu are showing them, you are not slacking off, etc Too bad your school limits the number of APs u can take

Do colleges see your grades for Senior Year? And if I could self-study for an additional AP (English Lit, probably...) would that be something I should do. Though the main issue is my school does not offer the APs I would be interested in taking, although some of them are offered on the elective sheet classes are often dropped because there is not enough interest in them. (e.g. Art History, which I would be happy to take if the class exist next year and I have room in my schedule--which leads to the ultimate debate of whether or not do APs look better or do classes at CUNY school, which I am invariably forced to take due to the relationship between the HS and the college.)

Yes..Most colleges want to see your schedule for senior year...and you have to send a mid-year transcript, so these classes are muy importante. And you also have to send a final transcript, so that colleges can make sure that you didn't slack off or do something stupid.
