Hi,
I am going to be a senior next year and here are the classes I plan on taking:
AP Micro
AP BC
AP Lit
AP Comp GoPo/US
AP Physics 2 (or C Mechanics)
Advanced Discrete Math
Advanced Spanish 4
Advanced Spanish Humanities
However, I am not sure about taking AP Physics 2 (or C M) even though I have been doing well in Physics 1 this year. I would really like to take peer-tutoring but my main schools (ND and UPenn) like to see 4 rigorous science courses. I have taken 5 science courses but only 3 of them have been “rigorous.” As such, I am considering taking AP 2 or C but am not sure if I want the extra work senior year on top of all of my ECs and college apps. The only class that I want to change up is physics but I am not sure if I should. Thank you!
Also, I do not plan on doing anything in the STEM field, but rather finance so I also wasn’t sure if taking AP 2 or C would really be that important.
What other “rigorous” sciences did you take? Honestly, you’ll probably be fine. That is a pretty heavy schedule, esp with BC and lit. I don’t think it will make or break you from those schools in my opinion. Only do it if you think you can handle it.
Advanced Chem and Bio as well as Advanced integrated science (general science class). I am currently taking AP Physics 1 and advanced independent research (class in which we do research projects).
I think you’ll be fine then. It honestly is your call.
