In creating my schedule for senior year, I’ve hit a bit of a roadblock. Here’s what it looks like currently:

Senior Research Seminar (an organizing course for applications to ISEF, YES, and Siemens Westinghouse, in which I will be participating)
AP Biology
AP Latin Literature
AP English Literature
AP Government and Politics
AP Calculus AB
AP Computer Science AB

I’m entirely certain that I want to keep the first four courses on the list as they are. However, since my guidance counselor and I don’t get along well, I need advice from the CC community on what to keep and what to change.

N.B.: I’m planning on majoring in political science/economics/law/social studies/business fields, hopefully at Harvard or Yale :).

Questions:

Should I change Government and Politics to “Integration of Knowledge” or Economics, or change it at all? The former is an advanced honors course which involves a great deal of reading and philosophy, and our Yale admittee this year took it. Honestly, I feel like I’d enjoy Gov & Pol more than Econ or Integration.

Should I change Calculus AB to BC? It’d be a bit more work, and I’d have worse grades. It’ll help to know that I took Honors Precalculus this year, and that math isn’t my best subject. Will it give me much of a competitive edge?

Should I take Computer Science? I have a bunch of extracurriculars related to the field, and I feel like it’d make them look stronger.

I suppose I’m not sure whether I’d be able to take all these APs, apply to colleges, and compete in the various science competitions listed above (which involve producing a massive research paper over the summer/early fall and completing applications which rival colleges’ own) without cracking under the pressure.

Help!
