Im currently a junior and i just made my course selections for my senior year. I got to a small catholic school (525ish students), so we dont have a ton of courses to choose from (4 AP's for seniors.) So i chose:

AP Calc AB
AP Literature and Composition
AP Chemistry
Anatomy/Physiology Honors
U.S. Government Honors/Economic Honors
Journalism 2-Deals directly with the school newspaper, which ill be a member of
Religion-required

I opted out of the AP Government and AP Macroeconomics, because the teacher has a terrible reputation as an AP instructer and the material is difficult enough already, not to mention its conflict with my schedule. I was wondering what you thought of my schedule. I think it is pretty strong, with 3 AP's, 2 Sciences, and AP Calc.

I actually have a question about senior schedule, what do you guys think?

IB Bio II HL
IB English A1 HL
IB Euro HL
IB HL Math
IB Spanish V SL
IB Philsophy SL

My final choice was to take either AP Statistics or AP Calc BC … I have already taken AB calculus, so should I not waste my time with BC or should I take BC since I’m already prepped with AB?

I have taken up to Spanish 3, but the teacher is terrible to i figured i could drop it and pick up the AP Chem, since that would lok better. As for no history, my schools offers government/econ as the social studies course.

AP Lit
AP Calc AB
AP Gov’t
AP Psych
AP Italian Language and Culture
German 4 honors
Art Advanced
Economics
PE (only senior with PE next year, ■■■)

Forget the teacher. I think you should take AP Gov/AP Econ. They’re not as challenging as some APs, but they’re still solid, and I think it’ll give you a better background for college next year.

AP English
AP Calc
Government & Economics
AP Physics or Chem. (We don’t actually have these classes yet but hopefully one of the two will be created, if not, I’ll have to take Earth Science
Gym

We HAVE to take at least four periods and those are the only classes my school has that I haven’t taken. So… sucks for me. :-

How would it look if i dropped the journalism/newspaper class and remained in spanish and took Spanish 4 honors. So i would instead have:

AP Calc AB
AP American Literature and Composition
AP Chemistry
Anatomy/Physiology Honors
Spanish 4 Honors
U.S. Government/Economics Honors
Religion

Help is much appreciated. As soon as possible as well please.

ufcollins,
From your screenname I’m think University of Florida. If you are in Florida, have you considered doing US GOVT/Econ Honors on Floria Virtual over the summer? tHAT would allow you to do either AP Macro or AP Govt in the fall, should you choose to do so.

Why is everyone posting their own schedules?.. ufcollins, check the language arts requirements at the colleges you’re looking at. Some of them recommend/require 4 years.
