Yeah... I already filled out my schedule but am having second thoughts! I think I need to take some more classes. I'm hoping to go to either the Coast Guard Academy, Furman, UNC Chapel Hill, Guilford, or Winthrop. Any advice on how I should edit my schedule for next year???

I can't take any APs cause the deadline is way past... I'm thinking about cutting one of the law classes and replacing it with PreCal honors cause my Geometry teacher said I need to take that. I'm also thinking about cutting Drama and replacing it with Advanced Writing Seminar. What do y'all think?

I definitely suggest precal because you will eventually have to take math in college or where ever you go and precal will help. Since I hated taking drama I would also take the writing seminar.

Adan, it looks like less than half of your schedule would be considered a true 'academic' class... I would definitely take precalc and maybe some kind of science class to make your schedule more well-rounded. Advanced Writing instead of drama would also be good too because it's going to be a lot more useful for the future.

Yeah, I agree with crazy14.

It's mostly academic. Business Law and Criminal Justice are very tough classes, at least that's what I was told... Govt/Econ is required by the state... Stat/Prob is MATH, not much that's more academic than math lol... And besides I've worked my whole 3 years in school as hard as I can and I've taken tough classes, shouldn't I get at least a couple easy classes next year?

I don't know why, but at my school, classes like business law and criminal justice are blow-off classes. I took business law my freshman year and basically did nothing. So I'm wondering what colleges would think about these classes since some schools make them hard and others are easy.

Business Law at my school is where they teach you all about real estate and business law (omg, wow, never would've guessed that part)... Criminal Justice is like mock court, you learn the trial procedures and procedural law and all that and you learn it through mock trials. Very interesting class, so I've heard. But yes I am almost 100% sure I'll get rid of Business Law and take Adv. Writing Sem. instead since it counts as an honors class and is actually very easy since all you do is write. (I love writing, btw)
