Senior Year Schedule

So, I've realized that UChicago seems to put quite an emphasis on taking a hard schedule. So, I tried to take challenging classes this year... Mainly to challenge myself, but hey, if it looks better on a transcript, so be it.

Keep in mind our school does not have ANY AP classes of any kind... Except dual enrollment through a local community college

1.Economics
2.Entrepreneurship/Business Law
3.College Calculus -- Dual Enrollment
4.Composition -- Dual Enrollment
5.Physics
6.Study Hall
7.Journalism/Creative Writing
8.Spanish 4

Do you guys think that this is a decent looking schedule?

Two APs is nothing to shout about…I’m hoping some of those other classes are honors?

You know, you could take the AP Econ tests or AP Phys anyways, if you thought you were good enough, just to see. I mean, if your school doesn’t off APs, it’s not gonna kill you. But if you get 5s anyways, that’d be greatly in your favor.

The OP should be fine, since his/her school doesn’t offer any APs. (That is, as long as he/she took the hardest courses available.) Just do well in them, do well on the SATs, and write good essays!
