I've noticed that MANY people take all these AP's in their senior year, but don't you apply during your senior year? So wouldn't that mean colleges don't get to see your final grade (especially if you apply EA/ED)? So what's the point of taking all these AP's if colleges won't see your new weighted GPA?

Well even if you apply ED/EA, they will at least see your senior schedule. But as far as senior grades. That would not be used for admissions, for you'll probably get a decision before semester grades even come out.

It's a different story with RD. If your going to apply RD, then senior grades will be looked into. In the end I say, do well your senior year, because you just might not get into that ED school, and will need those RD schools.

With RD the college may be sent your first quarter grades. And then there's the midyear report, which can be very important.
