Senior Year Science

So for senior year I signed up to do physics as my science class and unfortunately it wasn't able to fit into my schedule. I have 4 APs this year and student gov and newspaper as classes that I have to take and so now I'm taking anatomy as my science class instead.
I'm just wondering if not having physics will really affect me, my science classes so far are
9th grade- bio
10- chem
11- ap chem
12- now anatomy.
im applying to a few uc's and am planning to go in undecided if accepted but maybe major in science later on, maybe not.
So will it make a difference that I didnt take physics?
thanks :)

if you want to go into med/engineeering/any field with math or science
its better to have a knowlege about physics [no matter if its a lot or little]

im actually not going to be going in as anything science like, most likely media/journalism, so do you think it’ll be fine?

you really want to take physics. Top colleges look at two things, calculus and physics, to make sure you’re intelligent.

Oh really? I took neither. And didn’t take a science senior year

yea, i never took physics either & i don’t think it hurt me that badly at all… (one rejection from eight total applications). i did take calculus, however.

oh media/journaalism?
then youre fine.

ya im taking ap calculus this year and im still taking a full schedule. thanks everyone :)

"Top colleges look at two things, calculus and physics, to make sure you’re intelligent. "

… Whaaaaat? I’d say that people who are not as great at math/science are still intelligent.

I’m pretty sure it’s fine if you don’t take physics, especially since you’re not applying as a science major. I know a couple people who didn’t take physics and still got into great UCs.

ya i agree with you too jen you dont have to be a math/science person to be intelligent.

thanks for that info frutiaspice it makes me feel a lot better!

Sorry to hijack this thread, but will ivies look down upon you if you haven’t taken physics?
