I have failed AP Calculus BC with a grade of 64% for the first quarter in my senior year.

What I'm here to ask today is what I can do to still get into college. Will colleges look at first quarter grades of your senior year? Should I drop the class completely and move to a non-AP Calculus class or a class like AP Statistics? The problem is that I have not applied to any colleges whatsoever. I was aiming for schools considered a match like Maryland, UMBC, Delaware, and TCNJ. Will this grade automatically put me on rejection status?

I apologize if I seem like I'm whining and begging for help. The grade is completely my fault and I realize that. Any advice is appreciated from you folks.

My school's 'final grades' are the semester grades. Quarter grades are more like 'progress reports' which don't show up on your academic transcript. I don't know if your school's like that, but if it is, I wouldn't despair about your situation. Colleges usually only ask for semester grades. You have another full quarter to make a turnaround and at least get your grade up to a C or B. Get tutored, buy prep books. I recommend Princeton Review's Cracking the Calculus AB and BC Exam as well as 'Idiot's Guide to Calculus' (actually a very, very, very good book. explains everything in plain language).
