do colleges see ur senior yr grades if u apply ED/EA? i mean at least first MP? what if u apply RD also?

For ED/EA, no.

For RD, they'll see your first semester grades.

If they request a midyear, they are gonna see your first semester grades as well.

^u mean ED ifthey request a midyear?

^ No, he means only RD. By the time a decision needs to be made for ED, it'll still be way before first semester ends.

^okay, so it's guaranteed that they'll first semester grades for RD?

after 1st MP...i guess we can relax a lil?

Senior grades are pretty important for colleges that see them. I believe they are second in order of significance right after Junior year grades.

No, it's not guaranteed that first semester grades will be seen for RD. Some colleges don't require midyear reports (e.g. the UC's), so those grades may not be seen.

Also: What do you mean by MP?

MP is marking period. my schools does marking periods, not semesters.

anyway... i kinda screwed up my junior yr w/bunch of B's...eh... idk how colleges will view that. i'm looking at some top schools like JHU or even some ivies...

Don't worry about it. B's won't kill you; hurt a little, but not kill.

what about rank?--can it kill...

thanks. now i'm just kinda scared about the whole college app process. heart attacks!

lol. i went from being in the top 10 to...idk where. but still in the top 10%. however, that's like nothing for the most selective schools
