Senioritis much?

Seriously...is it just me? I'm sitting on a stack of unfinished homework right now, but I'm not too worried about it. I'll either do it during lunch tomorrow or I'll just say "Hey, teacher, straight up didn't do it," and they'll be like "chill, turn it in later." Our teachers seem to understand our new listlessness, so they just play along.

The CC crowd doesn't really strike me as academically apathetic, at all, but I was wondering if anyone else felt like me...maybe? I mean...college apps are in, I'm waiting for letters now, and I'm finding it hard to concentrate on high school. I used to be all about homework and studying, to the point where I never really had any fun. Now I just have fun and don't study. :S

Please tell me I'm not alone!

Haha, I seriously don't think you're the only one. :)

Yea. I put my efforts into Mock Trial--my grades slipped WAY too much (although some of it definitely was because of the hellish courseload I decided to burden myself with for senior year), but we're in the top 6 in New Jersey, so something must be going pretty well =/

Eeeeh... It's not that bad for me, yet... I still can't stand not do some things. And my teachers definitely don't play along. Anything we don't turn in on time, we fail. So if I said I didn't do something, they'd probably say: "Oh, okay. Makes it easy on me, then. Big fat zero."

All in all, getting bad grades would cause more stress for me than the work...

I just pass everything in one day late. I don't feel bad about it, and my teachers just take off an extra 10% or so, if that. I've pretty much checked out, I think.

I hand everything late in and am beginning to stop paying attention and all that good stuff.

The thing is, I haven't even gotten in anywhere besides my two safeties. Oh well.

I am catching up on all the good story books I missed the last year

:)

Honestly, I think senioritis is a good thing...that way you're all recharged by the time August (and college) rolls around and you WANT to do well again.

I'm in the same boat. Except for my Bible Lit class, in which we're doing a Mock Trial. Always fun. ^_^ (not to mention I'm a Prosecutor.)

I know what you mean OP. I find myself "starting" homework around 8-9 every night, and then a few hours later I find myself surfing the internet, on iTunes, or just screwing around when it's 2-3 AM. AHAHAHAAH, sad I know.

lmao I remember when I had tedious, ugly, useless, time-consuming homework back in middle school/9th grade. Good times.

ahh, same boat. its almost 12am and I still have a 20 pages of reading, a problem set, and an essay to write. the difference is the teachers is my school have no tolerance for senioritis - they are harsher than ever!
